Holi Celebration - Let's Play with Colors! (CHICAGO LOCALS ONLY)

Holi, the Hindu festival of color, marks the beginning of spring after a long winter and is symbolic of the triumph of good over evil. It is celebrated in March, corresponding to the Hindu calendar month of Phalguna. One aspect of the holiday includes throwing colored powder into the air and on others. Each color carries a meaning. Red, for example, symbolizes love and fertility while green stands for new beginnings. We will celebrate our new beginnings together. Please wear old clothes and dress weather appropriately as this is an outdoor event. Masks and distancing will be required. (Color powder can be purchased in advance online or in one of the Indian stores on Devon St. in Chicago)
Plenty of free parking available on Madison, Central Park and Main.
