Who Am I? – Our Identity in Times of Change (in Spanish)
You can book your space in a few easy steps.
I experience the world, I feel happiness or joy, love or hate, pleasure or suffering. But who is this “I” that does and feels all these things?
As humans we have always asked ourselves about our identity, however, in the past there was an abundance of religions and ideologies that wanted to “explain” everything to us: you are a man/woman, Christian/Jew/Muslim, Mexican/American, son/daughter of…, mother/father of…, farmer, worker, director.
We’ll get together in front of our screens and with coffee or other beverage in hand talk to other human beings that are as passionate as ourselves about finding answers.
Some subjects we’ll touch on:
•Are you an individual? Or is it possible to divide you into more basic elements?
•What does having parents or children mean when genes can be easily edited?
•An exact copy of you – would that be you or someone else?
•If you didn’t work/study/form a family, how would you define your place in society?
•Who deserves to have human rights in a post-human world?
•Robots – individuals or our slaves?
•The implications of a post-identity society
