COVID-19 and vaccination. For a long time vaccines were symbols of humanity’s progress and now, why do they generate so much controversy? The ethical issues of a large pandemic hit us quicker than our capacity to react and leave us facing unprecedented dilemmas. At the individual level we are also faced with many questions, including whether vaccination is part of our individual freedoms and how much does it affect the collective.
Come join this passionate debate about one of the most relevant issues facing us today.
We’ll get together in front of our screens and with coffee or other beverage in hand talk to other human beings that are as passionate as ourselves about finding answers.
Some subjects we’ll touch on:
•Individual liberties vs. collective emergency – which is more important?
•Vaccination priority – for the most vulnerable or most productive?
•The cost of individual liberties paid in human lives
•The best strategy for the pandemic
•Equity vs. reality in vaccine distribution among countries
•The economic, political, and social balance of the vaccine
•Flat earthers/antivaxxers – should everything be questioned?
•And so much more!
Upon finishing the get-together, we will have given analyzed the dilemmas facing the vaccination drive and shared our personal experiences.
