With the aim that Spain's contribution to the independence of the United States is duly recognized in the official celebrations that will take place in the United States in Protected content , the Queen Sofía Spanish Institute, within its initiative
America&Spain250, and the Ramón Areces Foundation present the First Conference on the Protected content of relations between Spain and the United States of North America. In them, distinguished American and Spanish academics will present their views on the historical relations between both countries, analyzing aspects ranging from shared history, the vision and image of each in the other, emigration, cultural relations and the challenges of teaching history, art , culture and Spanish language in the US today.
