Join us on a zig zag walk through some of the most picturesque parts of Old Town and New Town. You can take some instagrammable photos or just enjoy having a good time. If you wish we will end the walk in a café and have another lesson of ´Learn a phrase or two in French´ with David. :-))

The walk is quite easy, about 1.5 hours of leisurely walking.

"Cat heads" is a popular term for a type of paving of natural stones, river boulders or quartz blocks. Over time, the blocks wore out under the wheels of carriages and their edges broke off - so it can be said that they only became cat heads over time.

Streets were usually paved with grey and beige sandstone or limestone, but cobblle stones for Prague were made of quartzite with honey ocher shades, which was broken in quarries in the Beroun region. Perhaps it´s because of the cat heads, Prague is called golden. You will not find streets and squares paved with golden paving in another city.
