A Winter Fairytale: Lake Çubuk & Goynuk Escape

Join us for a magical winter escape to Lake Çubuk, where nature rests beneath a soft blanket of pure white snow. Hidden away like a scene from a fairytale, this charming village is known for its iconic windmills, colorful houses, and cinematic beauty that feels almost unreal.
We will enjoy a gentle and refreshing snow hike — either 8 km or 4 km depending on snow conditions. The route is scenic and easygoing, designed to let you slow down, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and fully take in the frozen beauty of the lake and its surroundings.
If hiking isn’t your preference, you are still warmly invited to join. You can relax by a crackling fireplace or a traditional village stove, warming up with hot tea or mulled wine. A delicious village-style BBQ, lovingly prepared by local villagers, will be waiting for us. You can also sit at a lakeside café, watching snowy rooftops and soaking in the calm and peaceful winter atmosphere.
Our journey continues to the nearby town of Göynük, a protected Cittaslow Ottoman town. With its historic streets and timeless charm, Göynük offers a beautiful step back in time — perfect for wandering through history, discovering local culture, and shopping for organic village delicacies.
