Henley On Thames Hike
HELLO LOVELY SOCIAL PEOPLE!
WE WILL MEET AT Protected content .
The hike is around 10km, slowly walk around 3 hours. We definitely seat down to enjoy the view from the hill and have a small picnic. We should be finished the hike around 3 pm, but we can stay after at one of the oldest pubs in Henley The Angel on The Bridge and seat on the terrace by the river and have a nice cold beer.
This is a lovely walk along the Thames then slightly inland through woods and over a couple of fields.
A circular walk starting from Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire. The walk follows a long stretch of the Thames Path north up to Hambleden Lock, before turning away from the river to return via woodland and grass meadows.
The walk is mainly flat with just a couple of short ascents and it follows a mixture of tarmac, stone and firm mud tracks, some of which may be slippery after wet weather. There are 5 stiles and a few kissing gates, but all of the stiles have open fencing alongside making them easy for most dogs to negotiate.
Donation of £8.00 by the arrival will be very appreciated and noticed X
