This week we look ahead to the return of UK Asian Film Festival – the world's longest running South Asian film festival – from Sun 4 – Tue 6 May.

First movie - The Umesh Chronicles is the story of India as not seen before.

Experience an intimate and epic portrait of a society in change.
This film follows the coming of age of a young woman, Radha, in Protected content middle-class India.
Surrounded by books and music, Radha has little contact with Sundar, a boy who helps her life of privilege.
Sundar runs away one day, and when she meets him years later, Radha considers that he may be more free than she is. In her 30s now, in modern India, served again – this time by Umesh, Radha thinks of Sundar and seeks him out.
This screening is preceded by an intro and followed by a Q&A with director Pooja Kaul.
