NEW: Málaga Bookworms Group.
The group´s overall goal is for participants to meet people that enjoy reading, & hold exciting and dynamic conversations at our sessions.
Our first meeting will be on Monday December 9, 8PM, atProtected content
All that like reading are welcome to join and give input about the type of fun, comfortable and non academic activities you'd like to have around this passion we share.
Should everyone read a literary work (book, article, poem, play, etc), chosen by the group, and talk about it at a meet?
Best weekday/time to meet? How often?
Fiction? Non-fiction? Poetry? Essay? All? Other?
Does one have to read a chosen book to participate?
Could someone do a presentation on a read, followed by group conversation?
Perhaps we could combine genres, such as literature and theatre, by reading García Márquez´short story, "No One Writes to the Colonel" ("El coronel no tiene quien le escriba"), and then seeing the play performed at Málaga´s Cervantes Theatre early next year.
Nothing is set in stone.
If time permits we'll read and hold a "conversación" about Robert Frost's poem, "Mending Walls."
How does all of the above sounds? If interested join the Málaga Bookworms Group/sign up for the activity. Would be nice to see you on the 9th.
PS: If "reading is the complex cognitive process of decoding symbols to derive meaning," can you read a movie?
Sorry, but you are not allowed to join this Activity Group!
We are afraid that you cannot join, because the Consuls have limited access to this Activity Group.
