In February we will be taking a wee break from Peter May as we are really keen to read again The name of the rose and talk about it.
The Name of the Rose is the Protected content novel by Italian author Umberto Eco. It is a historical murder mystery set in an Italian monastery in the year Protected content , and an intellectual mystery combining semiotics in fiction, biblical analysis and medieval studies.
The novel has sold over 50 million copies worldwide, becoming one of the best-selling books ever published. It has received many international awards and accolades, such as the Strega Prize in Protected content Prix Medicis Étranger in Protected content , and was ranked 14th on Le Monde's Protected content of the Century list.
