Thai Yoga Massage, Where "Yoga Is Done to You". Meet at the Park
Thai Yoga Massage is a therapeutic practice that combines acupressure, yoga stretches and energy meridian work to create a profound feeling of body balance and earthing. It’s a more active type of massage with different yoga poses which allow for a deeper stretch. This technique differs from a traditional massage but has many benefits to help heal and rejuvenate your body, as well as simply providing a sense of general wellbeing.
In this session we will informally share the ancient wisdom of India and China in this "hybrid" form of Yoga and Massage. We will learn a short sequence every week and practise it on each other, and gradually build up our knowledge, practice and confidence in manipulating your partner's body.
We will learn and practise various techniques, including rhythmic compressions, kneading, muscle pulling and tugging, joint manipulation and deep stretching.
Whether you are a novice or have some experience in Thai Yoga Massage, this workshop is open to all levels. Be sure to bring comfortable clothing, a yoga/gym mat, small cushion, water and an desire to give and receive.
