Hi travelers,
If you're longing for an off-the-beaten-track trip with trekking through wide landscapes, desert camping, prehistoric cave art, rare fauna and flora and intense contact with the locals, then this is it!
In spring Protected content dates to be confirmed) we'll be going to Tassili n'Ajjer ("Plateau of the Rivers"), the desert region in the deep southeastof Algeria. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to one of the most important collections of prehistoric cave art in the world. The plateau is a magnificent landscape of sandstone canyons, giant sand dunes, and rare flora and fauna including fennec fox (Algeria's national animal).
In the desert, we'll be trekking with Tuareg guides belonging to these semi-nomadic tribal people of North African Berber origin, living across Algeria, Libya, Mali and Niger. Being with them around the campfire under a night sky of a million stars, listening to their stories and hearing them play music and sing will give you the experience of a lifetime.
