Let us enjoy a free concert inside the beautiful Lord Mayor's City Council's heritage-listed, built in Brisbane, between Protected content 1930. It is a fine example of neo-classical architecture, with its sweeping marble staircases, vaulted ceilings, chandeliers and mosaic-tiled floor.

The concert is held inside the Main Auditorium, the larger space in the building, which circular design is based on the Pantheon of Rome.

The stage has a superb organ, originally built by in Protected content Father Henry Willis, the greatest British organ builder of the late nineteenth century. It has more than Protected content , the longest one reaches 9.75 metres.

Composer Richard Rogers and lyricist Lorenz Hart created 28 stage musicals and over Protected content , many of which have become established classics within ‘The Great American Songbook’. Some of their century-old songs have been performed and recorded by artists including Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Miles Davis, Harry Connick Jr., and Diana Krall.

Performed by an exceptional ensemble of Brisbane musicians, led by drummer Aaron Jansz, this program celebrates the prolific duo’s work, featuring original and inspired arrangements of classic show tunes, including songs from Babe in Arms, The Boy From Syracuse and Pal Joey.
