1. Cambridge Dictionary Definition – The way people or animals naturally react or behave, without having to think or learn about it.
2. Medical Definition – A largely inheritable and unalterable tendency of an organism to make a complex and specific response to environmental stimuli without involving reason.
Things to think about :-
a) What is instinct?
b) Examples of instinctive behaviour.
c) Where does instinct come from?
d) How important is instinct?
e) Can instinct be learned (nature vs nurture)?
