Georg Friedrich Handel's Opus VI, first published in Protected content London, quickly enjoyed great success with the public. If the inspiration of Corelli's work remains strongly present in these concertos, the variety of musical styles present in this opus is remarkable, incorporating elements such as the lyricism of opera arias, the characters of the dances, or even the solemnity of French-style overtures.Alessandro Scarlatti's concerti grossi were also published for the first time in London, a year later, and almost fifteen years after the composer's death. The Ensemble Baroque de Nice, a specialist in the genre, will put together the Concerti grossi of these two composers for a final concert of the season.
