Sorolla and the Mediterranean Coast: Light, Sea, and Life
Come join us for a visit to a remarkable art exhibition centered on the Mediterranean coast and its timeless connection to light, sea, and everyday life. This exhibition brings together 86 masterworks by Joaquín Sorolla, one of the great painters of coastal scenes, beaches, fishermen, and life by the sea.
What makes this exhibition especially interesting is its unique approach: the paintings are presented through a literary perspective by writer Manuel Vicent, creating a thoughtful and poetic dialogue between art and words. Together, they explore how the coast shapes memory, identity, and a deeply Mediterranean way of seeing the world.
Expect luminous beach scenes, powerful images of fishing life, and intimate moments along the shoreline — an experience that feels both visual and reflective, perfect for those who love art and the coast alike.
The exhibit closes at 20h. Join us when you can. At that time, anyone who wishes can meet afterward for a drink and relaxed conversation.
