Festa Junina in the Heart of Ipanema
Come celebrate Festa Junina--or June Festival--with Internations colleagues. Meet up with friends and make new ones!
Festa Junina is a beloved Brazilian tradition celebrated throughout June. It's a vibrant mix of European Midsummer celebrations, Christian saints' days, and indigenous and African customs. The festival is known for its lively music, colorful costumes, traditional foods, and folk dances. And so come dressed in colorful attire. Don't worry about it not matching. You're dressing up as a hick! Straw hats and checkered shirts are a definite plus.
Be prepared to dance forro, which is popular at Festas Juninas.
