Let's Visit Dramatic Cliffs

Day 1- Drive from mekelle for two hours to Abraha We Atsbeha Church and start trek for 6 hours via Darna mountain and on the afternoon visit Church of Yohanns Maqudi one of the beautiful rock Churches overnight camping Debretsion Village. (4 hours trekking)
Day 2- We will continue exploring the Geralta mountains church with one of the best scenic landscapes. Visit Abuna Abraham rock church, which again requires a good climb in order to reach it. After lunch continue trekking crossing villages and some where around sharing Cultural activities Tonight we will camp under one of the biggest sycamore tree, a wonderful spot where many of the local exotic birds flock to nest in its branches. (5 hours Trekking)
Day 3- Sycamore tree to mariam korkor
On the way we can climb Mt. Kemmer, the highest mountain in the Gheralta range affording 360° views of the surrounding mountains and desert plateau of Tigray. We will also pass by a tiny rock hermitage carved into the mountainside before reaching nearly our camp we can visit the oldest rock carved churches mariam korkor and daniel korkor and camp in middle of the mountain of korkro around the cave (7 hours trekking)
Day 4- Our hike continues to reach the world-renowned Abuna Yemata, here we need to climb a stiff mountain requiring simple ropes. We then drive to Mekele and take the flight to Addis Abeba. (4 hours trekking and climbing)
