The Taste of Real Gümüşlük
Most of us know (and love) Gümüşlük for its fish restaurants dotted along the sea line and lovely gourd lamps illuminating the summer evenings. But this lovely little village has so much more to offer!
Acik Mutfak has been serving delicious meals to locals for over 10 years in an amazing hidden garden, and this is your last chance to sample some of these, as Esra and her team are moving on to pastures new.
For this evening, Esra will prepare a special sampling menu for us of her best dishes. These will include:
- Mütebbel (a popular aubergine-based Levantine meze)
- Gambilya or Bodrum fava served with pear, caramelised onions, and turmeric
- Samphire with sesame and turmeric
- Stuffed bell peppers
- Mini mozzarella balls with wild purslane, melon, and pistachio sauce
- Courgette fritter balls with Bergama tulum cheese and walnuts
- Kötfe with tomato sauce and grilled aubergine paste
All just for Protected content per person.
The drinks are also reasonably priced at Acik Mutfak, with cocktails ranging between Protected content 800 TL, wine between Protected content 400 TL per glass, beer at Protected content , and rakı (Beylerbeyi göbek) at Protected content for 6cl.
Please hurry to book your place to enjoy this wonderful evening with friends.
Why not finish off the evening at the nearby Kumda (just a small stroll away), listening to some jazz and Anatolian funk by Deli Bakkal, as part of the International Gümüşlük Music Festival. More details can be found here: Protected content
