Traditional Rekawka Festival 2024
On April 2 (Tuesday after Easter), the Podgórze Cultural Center for the next edition of the Traditional Rkawki Festival on the Krakus Mound.
It proudly towers over the city, offering everyone who climbs to its top a wonderful panorama. It also attracts hunters of fabulous sunrises and unique photographic frames. However, the true charm of the Krakus Mound and its unique history can be discovered only once a year - on the first Tuesday after Easter - thanks to the Traditional Rekawka Festival organized at its feet. This year's edition of the event will take place on April 2, at 11.30–18.00. This time, as the main theme, we will be accompanied by the battle cry "War!".
Participants will not only be able to see reconstructions of early medieval customs of the Slavs related to the spring All Saints' Day, watch the clash of two great armies up close, or visit a Slavic settlement, but also cheer on the participants of the tournament duels, and find out who and why the prince formed alliances. Vistulans and what role women's teams played in early medieval warfare.
