Activating Powerful Coaching Strengths at Work
Dear MBA friends,
If you know me, you know we must continue to focus on the inner to create the outer...
You also know I believe in the power of networking.
For this event, I’ll be bringing in one of my contacts whom I met through my good friend Joanne Torre.
In the last few years, more and more multinational companies have come to the realization that coaching cannot just remain a nice ‚add-on‘ and side activity of a successful Leader. Quite the contrary: the right kind of coaching has turned out to be an indispensable and highly effective way to accelerate the performance and growth of team members. Coaching creates and reinforces trust and forms the foundation for managing modern, successful and independent knowledge workers.
The times where Managers could be successful by ‘knowing it all‘ seem indeed over. Instead, when we coach, we place trust in the capabilities of our own team members to find solutions. It becomes essential to motivate our people to think for themselves and to strengthen their accountability.
What skills are involved in Coaching? Being present, observing with curiosity, active listening, asking powerful questions and creating accountability are just some of them.
1. Most Leaders who think they coach tell us after our workshops that they never actually coached before. It is an eye-opening moment that can happen at any stage in a career.
2. You don’t have to go through a lengthy certification program to deliver great coaching and be a more ‘coach-like’ Leader. Anyone can deliver great impact with very focused skill activation.
This session is an extract of a 2-day world-class workshop program developed for high-paced Technology Leaders in Silicon Valley. The program is built to activate highly applicable skills and behaviors in Leaders to make a step change in their conversations at work.
In this exciting evening event, we deliver the minimum of coaching skills that deliver the maximum of impact. As a participant you will activate multiple, essential coaching skills over a series of rapid conversation cycles. Participants will get the opportunity to apply their insights right away and interact with each other throughout the evening. Ample opportunity for meaningful networking is built into the design of the session.
Some words heard from Workshop participants:
“Great Workshop, best one I have had in a long time and I'm really grateful. This valuable training should be mandatory for every single People Manager here.” - Senior Leader, eBay
“I really appreciate the open atmosphere, the inviting facilitator who included everyone. The many small (often personal) examples really helped to support our understanding.” - Director, SAP AG
