*Desaru is a beginner friendly beach break. Not the most breath taking beach but fun sized waves can be had during the monsoon.
1) No access to toilets and water on the beach so a personal hammock + a ground sheet will be helpful. (handy for Indonesia!)

2) Hotel we are staying at albeit is dated, has limited food options but is clean. Thai massage is open from Protected content !

Please change Malaysian petty cash before your trip and bring the necessary snacks as we will not be making grocery runs enroute. *

Ok Folks!

I have been swarmed with requests for beginners before so this time I can accommodate ANY beginner surfers on this trip.

PLEASE be realistic about your surf experience, the ocean is an unpredictable force. There are no lifeguards and non easy access to urgent medical services so please get travel insurance, bring sufficient medication and a healthy social attitude. Regular attendance at normal yoga classes will help a LOT.

Intermediate surfers are welcome but please understand that Desaru is a beach break with some decent waves... do not go expecting Uluwatu...

This is a SURF TRIP, not a SOCIAL trip so please respect your fellow travelers if they wish to rest.

Will arrange a drinks session in 1st weekend of Jan for any potential questions- Please note that I will not bring/book for anyone I have not met in person, along on any of my surf trips.
