Dear Beer Enthusiasts,
Join for us for a master cooking class with chef Rodolfo Hernandez and Alakazam’s masterbrewer Juan Monroy, to learn how to cook a complete Mexican menu for Independence Day, paired (of course) with the tastiest beer. We will prepare the food and have it for dinner afterwards.
About Rodolfo:
Having a very long and successful career as a certified Public Accountant and Administrator, Rodolfo found in cooking his ultimate passion. He started it out as a hobby when cooking for his nephew and then decided to start a formal career in gastronomy. His specialty is Mexican food with trendy ingredients and desserts (his cupcakes are amazing). Rodolfo dreams of opening his own restaurant, in the meantime he’s still living the corporate life and cooking for friends and family, who have been lucky enough to try his creations.
About Juan:
Juan was the head of staff at Escollo (one of our favorite breweries in Roma and one of the finest and most awarded microbreweries in Mexico). While serving tables there, he found his passion: beer. Soon after that, he became an apprentice of Jorge Ringenbach, Escollo’s masterbrewer. After almost 5 years, Juan decided to open his microbrewery (he literally brews in his garage) and to dedicate himself full-time to the art of brewing.
For this event, we made sure not to find the most famous cooks, but the most passionate, with the most love and best quality for their art.
The 4-course Mexican independence menu goes as follows:
1) cucumber lemonade with serrano chilli pepper
2) chicharrón (pork) tinga
3) chile en nogada
4) hibiscus and cucumber jello
Everything paired with Alakazam’s beer (2 bottles per person).
