A World WIthout War -History and Politics of Conflict Resolution

(event in English without translation)
Conversation with Sundeep Waslekar, author of the book "A World Without War: The History and Politics of Conflict Resolution"
Casa Asia, in collaboration with the Club of Madrid and Nola publishing house, hosts this conversation with Indian thinker and author Sundeep Waslekar, on the occasion of the publication of his new book: A World Without War: The History and Politics of Conflict Resolution.
In a context marked by the modernization of nuclear arsenals, the weapons race driven by Artificial Intelligence, the rise of nationalism, and the deterioration of the multilateral order, Waslekar offers an urgent reflection on the real risk of a catastrophic global war. However, his approach is not pessimistic: he draws on a historical and philosophical analysis spanning more than two thousand years to argue that war is a political decision and therefore avoidable. This represents a unique opportunity to reflect on the future of world peace and the role of our societies in building it.
