Join us for a night celebrating ancestral and artisanal mezcal at an informative tasting at the Protected content Creative Gallery in Colonia Juarez, Mexico City. We will be served 8 agave varieties and see a presentation about ancestral and artisanal mezcal, learn about specific small batch Maestro Mescaleros (mezcal masters), and enjoy a complimentary handcrafted mezcal cocktail southern Oaxaca. Whether you are a first time mezcal taster, or a production from the perspective of the Maestro Mescaleros (Master Mezcal Producers).

About our hosts Eduardo & Ian:
Eduardo is the owner of Lola Mezcal and wants to share his love of mezcal and the rich history of local small batch maestro mescaleros. He works closely with producers and mescaleros to help preserve the non industrial art of producing world class mescal in small batch production so that every taste of mezcal retains its integrity and flavor.

Ian was a cocktail bartender for 10 years in Philadelphia, NYC, and Mexico City. In those experiences, he learned about spirits, wine, and a large variety of cuisine and culinary techniques. Being introduced to Mezcal in Protected content Oaxaca, he since worked with various mezcal producers over the years to acquire the wide palette needed to discern mezcal. During his four years in Mexico, he has studied mezcal regions, agave, and distillation techniques. His ongoing work is to provide training and consultation​ for food service workers and bar owners.

Cost $500 pesos per person

Our hosts have informed me that their rooftop bar suffered weather damage, and for the safety and comfort of everyone, they're moving the event inside. That being the case, only 12 people can attend this event (not 25 as originally planned).
