Tour #DíaDeMuertos Por #Xochimilco 2025
The tour price includes a traditional Mexican menu, as well as a tasting of pulque, craft beer, and delicious Mexican sweets made by local entrepreneurs.
Itinerary:
| 12:45 to 1:00 PM | Meet at Embarcadero Cuemanco to board the trajinera (traditional boat).
| 1:00 to 1:30 PM | Tour the Xochimilco canals while tasting typical Mexican sweets and discussing the history, culture, environment, and community.
| 1:30 to 2:30 PM | Enjoy a delicious traditional Mexican menu on a chinampa (pre-Hispanic floating garden). Menu includes tlacoyito, mole with chicken and rice, tortillas, salsa, and flavored water.
| 2:30 to 3:00 PM | Trajinera tour to the ajolotario (axolotl garden). Taste seasonal pulque with local entrepreneurs Diana and Ulises, who share myths and legends.
| 3:00 to 4:00 PM | Meet this friendly amphibian: the king of Xochimilco! Learn about their diet, lifespan, reproduction, and the crucial conservation efforts for the species.
| 4:00 to 5:30 PM | (During the Day of the Dead season) Visit a nursery to learn about and see the marigold flower (cempasúchil).
| 5:30 to 6:30 PM | Aboard the trajinera, enjoy a live concert with seasonal songs while sampling craft beers from Xinampa, brewed locally in Xochimilco.
| 6:30 to 7:00 PM | Return to the Cuemanco Pier.
