Thrace Wine Route - Cheers to Spring!
Let's continue visiting wine routes of Turkey as we learn about Thrace, a geographical area that includes modern day Bulgaria, Greece, and Turkey, a place still home to a centuries-old tradition of wine making. Let’s also have some good times outdoors while enjoying the first signs of spring and the new life it brings.
We will start the day with an amazing breakfast in the garden of a very popular vineyard in the Kirklareli region. On the Northern border to Bulgaria, this geographic area was inhabited by the ancient Thracians who practiced farming and viticulture. They keep the tradition alive with its chateau-style boutique wine production.
The winemaker family grows Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Zinfandel and Öküzgözü grapes. Let’s go and explore it all together.
“Cheers for spring; for life; for a growing soul.”
