Swing Jam

Dear Off-Track Music Enthusiasts,

Please join us for an unusual and entertaining mix of music and dance.

Swing Jam is a jam session that brings together Vienna’s jazz music scene and swing dancers - improvisation on stage and on the dance floor!

The opening band is as follows: Clara Montocchio vocals, Josef Fuchsberger trumpet, Madeleine Joel saxophone, Phil Yaeger trombone, Barry O‘Mahony guitar, Katarina Kochetova piano, Gregor Aufmesser bass, Lukas Aichinger drums ... and you are invited to sing or play on stage if you are a musician.

At 19:45, there is a free swing dance class with Hanna, where everyone is welcome to learn some basic steps and the roots of Lindy Hop.

The music starts at 20:30. There will be three sets, with the opprtunity to join the band for the second set. Jam participants have a free entrance!

Mi Barrio is a very active Latin (but not only!) cultural center in the 6th district, a few minutes' walk from Neubaugasse U3 and Pilgramgasse U4 stations, or a few stops from the Ring on bus 57A, stop Esterhazygasse.

Last but not least, the pub on the ground floor has very good Latin American food, in case you would like to have diner there before the dance or between the sets.
