With Protected content and numerous magazines and books, this comprehensive retrospective examines the life’s work of Cartier-Bresson from the Protected content to the Protected content . In addition to well-known, iconic images, the exhibition presents early pictures that are influenced by Surrealism, photo essays, and portraits, as well as images and films that have never been shown before.

For the first time, Christine de Grancy’s visual narratives "Above the World, Beyond the Ages" are presented in the second part of the exhibition.

She has told the story of the former Habsburg Empire's capital through the perspective of stone witnesses to time, whose legacy the small republic and its people must carry. Vienna’s identity in the torn divide between above and below, between power and powerlessness, between history and the present.
