Hiking Penyagolosa Mountain (Moderate-Difficult)

The Penyagolosa, aka Gegant de Pedra (The Stone Giant) is considered to be the most emblematic mountain in the Valencian Community. It is the second highest peak in the region Protected content . At the base of the mountain is the pilgrimage destination of Sant Joan de Penyagolosa, where our route will start.

We will have a picnic lunch on route. Please provide yourselves with plenty of water and all the food you may need.
There are no bars or cafés around; we are in the mountains, surrounded by beautiful sceneries and vegetation.
The base holds a bar where we can have a coffee on the way back.

Hiking gear is advisable, as well as comfotable clothing, since temperatures could be very low at the start.
Please remember it is important that you are in good physical shape and you know and respect your physical limits.
