A further sixth part consisted of an appreciation of the life and works of the author, titled "A Gooseberry Fool: Oliver Goldsmith Stoops to Conquer". All of these segments are included in order. Directed by Tony Britten Starring Tim Bell, Simon Butteriss, Judi Daykin and Mark Dexter.
Charles Marlow and George Hastings set out for Liberty Hall, the home of the Hardcastles, whose daughter Kate Marlow being pressured into marrying. On their way, they meet Kate's brother Tony who decides to play a practical joke on them.
