Dear Talk German Group,

PHotoESPAÑA Protected content Cafe Lehmitz, of the Swedish Anders Petersen, inside the program 'exaltation of the being', commissioned by Alberto García-Alix.

Anders Petersen is one of the photographers most recognized by his personal, direct and sincere form of approaching the subjects and the situations of that he makes the portrait. In Protected content discovered in the red quarter of Hamburg a bar called Cafe Lehmitz, which would turn into the base of his author's first work. Meeting point and meeting of the underworld of the German city, prostitutes, travestis, procurers, delinquents and destitute persons were congregating in this space in which the bar was never closing and in the one that was allowed to remain although one was not asking for any consumption. A place of meeting of singular personages who little by little were acquiring name along with that of the photographer.

Petersen has allowed us to bring us over to the totality of the work on Cafe Lehmitz: the contacts, the histories, the relations. We could have understood this way the dimension of its adventure: the only experience of a photographer who discovers an extraordinary universe. With this exhibition it offers to us the opportunity to live from within one night in the Coffee Lehmitz accompanied by his friends, the situations and the emotions that they wrap, extending this way the vision of the book that appeared in Protected content that since then has turned into a photographic icon.

Afterwords we can go to have smth in the terrace or the cafeteria and exchange our impressions on the photos and material shown WHILE USING OUR SKILLS IN THE LANGUAGE OF THE TALK GERMAN GROUP... WHICH IS GERMAN! :))

I hope that you join me watching this amazing exhibition!

Ich freue mich auf Euch!

Bis dahin...

Beste Grüsse,

María
