As Madrid Plane Spotting Group has explored in previous activities, the extraterrestrial space is also part of our interests. The NASA facilities in Robledo, the NASA museum, interesting airspace films... and now the time for Mars has come.
The exhibition'Mars. The conquest of a dream 'includes a series of participatory design pieces that generate open content, involving social networks as a means to attract the participation of the community. Pieces that challenge and motivate visitors to be actively involved in the facilities, providing all people who come to the fourth floor of the Fundación Telefónica Space with a different immersion opportunity in the exhibition space and a greater knowledge of the objects that they integrate it.
The exhibition includes some pieces of great value for their historical or documentary interest. Books and original plates of the Copernican Museum of Rome; a fragment of a meteorite from Mars, fallen on October 3, Protected content Nigeria; original illustrations of 'The War of the Worlds' by the Brazilian artist Henrique Alvim Corrêa (Brazilian, Protected content , a replica of the first Galileo Galilei telescope, three 3D printed models that recreate possible habitats in colonies on the red planet; an immersive audiovisual piece that discovers the sunset on Mars from original NASA images.
