Pre-Thanksgiving Hike - Red Top Mountain Join Us
We will be practicing social distance and masks. It is an awesome opportunity to enjoy the perfect weather for hiking, meeting new and old friends and of course the outdoors.
Saturday Hike... Bring $5.00 cash for parking. Parking is limited.
The hike starts 10 minutes after the start time... start time at 10:00 am.
Details regarding the trail:
The Homestead Trail (yellow trail) at Red Top Mountain State Park explores the shoreline of Lake Allatoona, a large recreational lake near Cartersville, Georgia. The longest trail at Red Top Mountain State Park, the Homestead Trail provides excellent lake views and relative seclusion along the lakeshore.
The moderate, 5.3 mile Homestead Trail loop hikes through mixed pine and deciduous forest in the central Red Top Mountain peninsula..
Note: please bring plenty of water and snack. We'll be stopping during the hike at the lake. Again try to carpool; parking is limited.
