December Hike Along the River
Join us in nature for a lovely winter hike along the river. Highlights include beautiful river views, diverse winter flora, and well-maintained sections. Challenges consist of rocky, rooty terrain and narrow paths. It's advised to wear sturdy shoes. This 3.4-mile loop trail is generally considered a moderately challenging route and took us about 1 h 44 minutes last time to complete (with stops for taking in the nature). There is a parking fee to be paid online (via QR code onsite), or already be covered if you have the annual pass for the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area or America The Beautiful Pass. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
