Humpin' Around: In Sololaki
It's time for another Hump Day coffee group get-together.
The venue is the rather pretty Protected content that is tucked away at the corner of Protected content You must pay a little more attention than usual to spot the entrance because it is a simple/small and unassuming door on Protected content I kinda love places like this: hardly any flash on the outside and really cute inside.
I have been to Protected content a couple of times and I find it very charming: classic Ukrainian decor that reminds me of the New England style and, going by the Borscht and pancakes with jam, excellent food. Having eaten borscht only once before, at a Russian restaurant on Brighton Beach in NYC, I hardly qualify as an expert on the dish, but whatProtected content serves tastes so much way better. Yes, the weird and "erroneous" usage of comparatives was deliberate. If we're lucky we might get to hear a live pianist that evening; they have one playing on some nights.
Staff and service are generally fine but some may find service relatively slow when there are lots of people. Prices for most dishes seem very reasonable for that part of town. I think the price of the Veggie Borscht or pancake with jam i.e. GEL 5, was very good for the portion served.
I look forward to seeing you at Protected content
