Guildford Via Chantry Hills-Surrey. Circular. 12.6 Miles. 20 Km

This walk explores pleasantly hilly scenery in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It starts on the tranquil River Wey Navigation, briefly follows the North Downs Way, and then veers off up to climb the wooded Chantries Hill (also known as Chantry Wood). We then go the North Downs Way to St Martha's Church (viewpoint).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION.
1.Trains: There are frequent trains from Waterloo to Guildford.
Drivers can park at the station for a small charge.
2. Please note that hiking as an outdoor activity carries a risk of injury. When you RSVP, you confirm that you are in good health and accept this risk.
3. Please wear walking boots or shoes. Preferably water proof. The paths can be muddy and slippery. This depends on the weather we have before the hike. Also bring rain proof jacket in case it rains.
4. Bring a packed lunch and plenty of water.
5 Please note that on hikes, toilets are not always available, so when we need to, we might have to go in the bushes.
6. We will go to the Britannia pub after the walk for some indulgence.
