Sunset Hike at Canyonback Trail, Santa Monica Mountains
Let's take advantage of the longer days and do a short hike after work this week.
This trail is just a few minutes from the
Protected content
, yet feels far away from the business of the city.
We'll walk for about an hour; we'll go for 30 minutes before turning around so we can get back to our cars before it's dark.
We'll probably cover 2 to 3 miles with Protected content of elevation gain on the main trail, or more elevation if you take the adjacent foot trails that lead higher up and offer sweeping views. Protected content
There is no bathroom at the trailhead, so use the facilities before you arrive!
Also, there is no cell phone service at the trailhead, so if you're lost or running late, I will not see any messages.
Meet at the trailhead at 6:30pm for introductions; we'll start the hike by 6:45pm.
