Biking around Addis? (Addis Ababa)

I'm moving to Addis Ababa this summer and I'm bringing my road bike. I've been biking a little in South Korea, but it's very difficult due to the road system. I was wondering if you can ride around Addis either around the city or a road system that gets out of town for more of a countryside ride. I was just curious about...well...what the odds on survival are :)
