Does anybody knows Beach Haven neighborhood? (Auckland)

Hi everybody! I'm about to move to Auckland next January together with my husband and my 2 children.
We're trying to get settled in Beach Haven, because it seems to us it's a neighborhood which meets the needs of a family.
Does anybody knows the area and can tell me pros and cons about living there?
