Moving to Beijing in March!

Hello everyone!
My name is Lea, I'm a young french girl who is setting out on an adventure! Well, I'm making myself sound cooler than I actually am, it turns out I'm taking a break from university because I didn't like what I was studying, and still don't know what I want to study! So I decided to take advantage of this new found free time to travel, to discover new places and hopefully grow as a person. And I ended up deciding to move to Beijing overnight (well, almost...) ^^
Long story short, I was hoping you guys could tell me what I should prepare for my trip, what to expect upon arrival, and tell me about your own experiences as well bad or good! :)
