InterNations — A Community for American Expats in Beira

Hello to all Americans in Beira! Are you interested in getting to know fellow expats in Beira? Looking for advice from other Americans, e.g. wondering if there are any bars in Beira which will be showing your favorite baseball or American football team’s upcoming match or where to go in town for st■ turkey?

There’s no doubt about it: Beira is still in the process of rebuilding following the devastating Cyclone Idai that destroyed much of the city and its infrastructure when it hit in March 2019. The second-largest city in Mozambique is a coastal city known for its mild climate, number of attractive parks, local beach, and much more! With the chapas (minibuses) and road links, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in the surrounding areas of Beira, which are a short journey away from Beira’s center.

Although Beira has lots to offer, you might be wondering where and how you can meet other Americans in the city. Luckily, InterNations is here to make this easier for you! You’re warmly invited to join the InterNations community. Within our international network in Beira, there’s a vibrant circle of American expats from all regions of USA, including New York City, Los Angeles, and beyond.
