working for US company? (Bogotá)

Does anyone know - is it possible for a resident/citizen of Columbia to: 1) be hired as an employee rather than an agent or independent contractor) to 2) physically perform work in Latin America as 3)an employee of a US company that does NOT have an office in LATAM? Example a Sales Executive whose territory is LATAM, resides in LATAM, but is an employee of and paid by a US company that does not have a physical office in LATAM.
