Tajovsky ruulezz! summer theatre performance (Bratislava)

After a successful premiere, let us invite you to the theatre again! This time to a beautiful historical building in the heart of Bratislava! It´s the first time Zichy Palace (Ventúrska 9) will host this famous Slovak classic (J.G.Tajovský - Ženský zákon) performed in English.

It´s fun, it doesn´t take more than an hour and it´s in English! We would love to see you there :) Your Bridgin´ Drama team.

What´s going on?
Anička and Miško get engaged, but their families start fighting, just like in Romeo and Juliet. Miško has to join the army and while away, his mother finds a new rich wife for him. And so the women fight, cry and get furious for another two acts, and the only man that is left in the house waits to get a chance to speak up. He never gets it. Anička, getting desperate, enchants Miško with the help of Dora. Voilá, a happy-ending, there you go! But is it magic or true love?

Who is Tajovsky?
A Slovak novelist and playwright. This guy from Tajov was a kind of joker and he ignored none of our Slovak vices – especially not our alcoholism. Cheers to borovička!

Why the hell do we do it?
Gossip, rumours, intrigues, cheating, infidelity, but also women´s beliefs that tricks and magic fix everything have always been in our society. What is more, Tajovsky has never been translated into English. So why not?
