Going surfing (Cape Town)

Hi everyone,

I'm a new Ozzie / Brit in Cape Town, doing research for the year here into teacher training. I was wondering if anyone is interested to share costs on driving to the beach for a surf? Would be great to meet up with a fellow water person, and go for dip. I am happy to share the drive and pay petrol - unfortunately I don't have a car yet :)

Also same goes if anyone is keen on going for a long cycle on the weekends. I have wheels, just not four off them :)
