Dear expats,
I have just moved to Denmark with intermediate Danish which I have gained through speaking with my fiancée when we were living in London. I am now at the stage where I can get by on my own in shops but not yet at the stage where I can chip into conversations with my Danish friends speaking Danish, though I can chip in in English. I also watch a Danish sitcom called Klovn (do not watch if easily offended, btw) and listen to Danish radio. Oh, and I started the reading with reading kids books aloud to my fiancé. I felt like a child but it's actually really helpful!
I'm interested to know how other expats have coped with this. Does anyone have any experiences they would like to share?
Nicola
