Ramadan is the 9th month of the Islamic calendar, which is based on a 12-month lunar year of approximately 354 days. Because the lunar year is 11 days shorter.
We Muslims of Pakistan celebrate this month and the following month with full zeal and enthusiasm. Fasting (Sawm) carries many rewards, whether we are fasting voluntarily or on Ramadan. It improves our physical health and our relationship with food, helps us to be more grateful and more conscious of Allah, protects us from the Fire, and leads us into Jannah.
