Dear InterNations members and friends!

June`s meeting will be something special as we dive deep into Brazilian culture. It’s time to break out the flannel shirts and straw hats — we’re going to a Festa Junina!
Join us on Friday, 27 June 2025 at 19:00 for the Arraiá Rosa Mística, a joyful and colorful celebration of Brazilian rural traditions and community spirit.

Festa Junina is one of Brazil’s most beloved cultural festivals, originally rooted in Portuguese harvest celebrations and now blended with deep Brazilian rural and Catholic traditions.

Expect traditional music like forró and quadrilha, group dances with costumes and storytelling and delicious local delicious food. There`ll be games and raffles and an overall warm, friendly, and family-oriented vibe.
Feel free to dress up Festa Junina style: plaid shirts, straw hats, dresses with ruffles, braided hair, or even paint on a mustache! You´ll find plenty of inspiration online. But don’t worry — costumes are optional, and everyone is welcome to come as they are.

We’ll update you as soon as we know if there’s an entrance fee. These events are often free or have a small charge to help support the community.
Let’s gather for an evening full of music, laughter, cultural discovery, and shared joy. Friends, family, and newcomers are always welcome!
