work visa or visitor visa initially? (Gaborone)

Hi there,
I will be relocating to Gabs this April and intend to work in management consultancy. I do not have a job offer yet though. As far as working in Botswana there seem to be two options I know of Protected content to Gabs on a tourist visa and then apply for a work visa once I have a job or 2) apply for a work visa and come on one into the country.
What would you recommend from a practical standpoint, that I do.
