Relocating pets to Guangzhou

Hi there, i am in the process of relocating to Guangzhou from South Africa and would like some advise on bring my dog over with me.

Would i be able to find accommodation at reasonable price that would have a garden for my dog (boxer) and roughly what area would this be in?

I have read some articles about animals being drugged and Guangzhou not be the best place to have animals....
